With the outages we maybe experiencing with the EPG when sourced thru papiao can be overcome by using Acid's EPG which is working fine :)
You'd have to use the M3U connection method (as opposed to the MAC method). The m3u method is found as an option with most of your iptv devices that you may be using. Can also be used with most external Players. The 'm3u URL' or the 'm3u hardcopy'
With the m3u URL being the preferred way :)

The EPG URL is thanx always to our friend acidjesuz :)

The quote shown below was written for a BuzzTV device (the 4900 model I think). But the process is similar if not the same for other Buzz models and most other manufacture devices too (Dreamlink, EZ Player, etc...), as long as they have a n option for the M3U connection method.
The quote is also written for a Rocket service but again the NFPS (iptvprivateserver) and iptv66 will be the same process except of course their website addies.

The process seems in depth, but it's not really.
All you need is to first remove the devices' MAC that may be attached to your log in at the papiao website.
Then in your devices menu, add an M3U server thru your m3u menu option. This is also the place to add the EPG URL as well.
Save, Connect, watch TV with a working EPG.
Then at any time in the future to switch back to the MAC method, just log on at papiao website and add the MAC and then in your device's Server menus, open the MAC server which should still be there and Connect.
Switching back to m3u is just a s easy, just remove the MAC from your papaio log in.
Easy Peasy

3. M3U Playlist
Next is the M3U option.
If there is a MAC attached to your papiao code, log on to your code at the papiao website and remove the MAC
Then in the M3U Playlist slot we would enter the Server's Playlist URL
This is not the Server Portal URL, as used in the MAC Server setup.
This would be the m3u Playlist URL that is needed.

Follow the link below to see how to get the Playlist URL or Playlist hardcopy, which is an .m3u file.
*nfps and iptv66 will be the similar or same procedures.

There is a line to add an EPG URL as well.
Use acid's EPG URL

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/acidjesuz/EPG/master/guide.xml
OR there is a compressed version if you prefer, and which you can find info about in Acid's ongoing thread in the EPFG sub-forum.

-Compressed version:

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/acidjesuz/EPG/master/guide.xml.gz

Check our EPG sub forum here at iptvTalk for more information.

There is also a 'Choose File' option shown here too.
That is to choose a hardcopy of the m3u Playlist from a Storage Device.
The hardcopy would be an .m3u file.

If a MAC is attached to your code, it must first be removed in order for the m3u option to work.

Use the Home button on your RCU to return to the Home screen at any time.

When it comes to switching back and forth between the MAC method and the m3u method, it can be even easier with the BuzzTV devices.

The reason we may want to switch this connection is for the use of an external EPG source or the server's EPG.
Normally we would need to add or remove the MAC from your papiao login to make this switch possible. But with the BuzzTV devices we also have an API XC connection, which would be using the Server's EPG. but not using the device's MAC (so no need to attach that MAC at papiao login).

To set this method up, you'd add your username and password into the device's API setup option (along with the Server portal/URL) and ensure the MAC is not attached to your papiao login.
Once the username and password has been added and SAVED in the device's API menu and the MAC removed from papaio, then use the device's Connect function and watch TV with the Server's EGP thru the API method.
To switch back to m3u, simply switch to the device's pre-setup m3u connection. There would be no need to add or remove a MAC since it was already removed in order to use this API method. Just hit the Connect function found in the m3u menu and watch tv with Acid's external EPG source :)

So we get an even Easier Peasier way to make the switch, one way or the other way.
