Mini Sub with 5 souls onboard implodes on it's way down to the depths of the Titanic's resting spot, Or so is what we 'maybe' think.
This was a tour service @ $250,000 per person to take a trip (a very dangerous trip as it turns out) to have a look at the Titanic resting at the bottom of the ocean, at a depth of 13,000 feet.

The vessel, called the Titan, lost contact Sunday morning, about 1 hour and 45 minutes into the trip.

The sub had been controlled with a re-programed game controller, similar to an XBox controller.

The Up button doesn't work !

The Titanic is still taking the lives of the aristocrats over 100 years later.
Outstanding.

Outstanding.

This is the irony of it too. The Titanic should have never been traveling in such a manner as it was. And neither should have that sub (obviously).
There are theories as to why the Titanic was full head way thru a known Iceberg area, and with no moonlight. One theory suggests that at that time there was an 'entity' that was just starting out and 3 of the richest men in the world were on the titanic. These men were against this entity.
That entity was and still is the Federal Reserve.
There were another few of these elites men that were for the cause, and at last minutes they all canceled their trips (as recorded).
And JP Morgan Sr. had some ownership in the outfit that built the Titanic, that's the JP Morgan partly responsible for the Federal Reserve, that one.

But anyway as Ryu mentions too, this is a sad deal indeed for those people. One was the owner of the company I think. There was also a father and son and on Father's Day.

I don't feel these rich people didn't need to die, what they did was not the smartest of moves, but without people like these we could not expand our futures. Who else but rich people can do such things, go into space too. Would I board a mini sub to travel 2 miles to the bottom of the ocean ?
Not a chance, but I do respect that they take the risk.

I held off posting this cause I wanted to post the funny about the Up button on the remote, and too soon is well just too soon

So many corner cut with this submersible. First, the CEO didn't want 50 yr old experienced submarine experts in designing the sub, as they aren't inspirational enough (or maybe not enough melanin), so the design staff was very young and relied on the aviation knowledge of the CEO.. They decided to build using a carbon Fiber hull, which maybe cheaper and stronger under static loads than steel or titanium, but has been known to be very brittle under dynamic loads. They didn't do a lot of testing before putting people in the tube, which the ends made out of titanium but used glue. A passenger on a previous dive told the CEO that he heard 'creaking', which may have signaled possible failure. Metal gives, but carbon fiber doesn't. The controller was maybe funniest flaw, as it kind of makes sense in principle, but going wireless was really stupid.

Hey, if very rich people want a great experience that mere peons can't, do it, but getting killed isn't a very good deal. I'm not sure if they are true 'explorers' as all they did was ride down to a deep derelict.

Funny, there are no videos of those people getting into that minivan of a sub and entering into a dive to go down...!!?
