Chris Hemsworth as Abnesti
Miles Teller as Jeff
Jurnee Smollett as Lizzy

Directed by Joseph Kosinski

This is set in the near future, when convicts are offered the chance to volunteer as medical subjects in hopes of shortening their sentences.
'Spiderhead' is the name of the prison, in case anyone was wondering about the title of this movie.

Chris Hemsworth plays the role of Abnesti, a pharma representative and scientist, who is in charge of these 'medical' experiments.
Miles Teller plays the role of Jeff, one of the 'volunteers'.
The experiments consist of mind altering drugs which can make the volunteer react emotionally in a way that each drug is intended to.

There was one scene that was unwatchable cause it was so damn unthinkable what was going on... like when a drug makes our Jeff fall madly in lust for this old woman and yup, they get it on..... lol... I had to close my eyes and plug my ears at that point.

lol,,, the movie does try to be funny.
But it is not really. It is more like a crime scene

Director Joseph Kosinski has previously directed a few well known films...
TRON: Legacy (2010)
Oblivion (2013)
Only the Brave (2017)
Top Gun: Maverick (2022)

The comment below was found in an on-line review of this movie ...

'You're going to have to accept Chris Hemsworth as a scientist, you're going to have to accept Miles Teller as a prisoner and you're going to have to accept possibly the most unrealistic prison environment ever put to screen. If you can get past those things you should have a decent time.'

Quote from Abnesti
'The time to worry about crossing lines was... a lot of lines ago.'

And almost forgot to mention , Supertramp gets a nod in this one.
The Logical Song is heard in the opening scenes
