First of all this is not new 'business as normal' type of a World situation.
There have been other seizures of Oil Tankers by one country or another for one reason or another in the past.
That info is easily found online.
But recently, about a month ago there was a Russian vessel (an oil tanker) which was detained due to the embargos on Russia at this time.
This was in Greek waters. It was discovered that it was crewed by Iranian sailors and militia and in fact was Iranian Oil which was loaded on the vessel.
This was conducted with the help of the USA military or maybe it was UK.... at any rate you can read the full story.
So then Iran answered just this last week by detaining and seizing two Greek Tanker vessels.
