Recording With Kodi

I have Kodi setup and working fine with Live channels using NFPS Server and iVUE EPG.
I cannot however, figure how (or if) I can record these same live TV shows.
I've found all sorts of websites and Youtube videos giving directions to do this , but nothing seems to work.
Can someone please direct me to a step by step "How To" that actually has been proven to work.

I believe the stream has to be marked as recordable at the server, but I'm not totally sure about that. It may be easier to find a program you missed through different add-ons, if you can't figure out how to capture it through Kodi Live TV.

I'm still working on coming up with a way to record (based on the numerous posts and websites I have looked at). Does anyone know how to obtain the URL of any playing live channel being run on Kodi ? I have a MAC by the way.
