Anyone try this Buzztv Box ....Seen it for as low as $50.00 ..Home page skin looks like the Buzztv 4000 .........
Buzztv 3000 uses Amlogic S905X ....This box uses Amlogic S905W ...

Buzztv Mate 1 (Boomerang)

S: Android 7.1.2
CPU: Amlogic S905W, Quad core ARM Cortex-A53
GPU: Mali-450 penta-core, up to 750MHz+(DVFS)
RAM: 2GB DDR3
ROM: 8GB
Buzztv 2

WIFI: Built in 2.4G / 5Ghz Dual Band WiFi
Bluetooth: Support
LAN Ethernet: 10M/100M

S905W: 4K@30fps
S905X: 4K@30fps + 4K@60fps

Amlogic found out that most of their TV box users do not need the specification 4K@60fps at all.

Amlogic S905W is an under-powered processor in my opinion. It is clocked at 1.2-1.5Ghz, and draws more power under load, than the Amlogic S905x, clocked at 2Ghz.
I've tried a couple different STB models with this processor based SOC, and (while using for IPTV), found all to freeze up or hang, requiring reboot.

You get what you pay for, and if you don't do your homework, ...you deserve what you get.

Looked at the specs for the Amlogic S905X processor Quad core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU up to 2GHz
Amlogic S905, S905X, and S912 Processors Appear to be Limited to 1.5 GHz, not 2 GHz as Advertised

Amlogic S905W quad core Arm Cortex-A53 @ up to 1.5 GHz

It is a budget box and it has been a while
Ill pull one out this week and see how it runs

FYI...

On August 28, 2016, all members of the S9 family were reported to be internally limited to 1.5 GHz instead of the advertised 2.0 GHz clock rate. As of that date, it was not clear if the limitation was due to hardware, firmware or software issues
