Another late thread, but USMNT just laid a licking on T&T, 6-0. Christian Pulicic is a witch, Zardes and Long both had braces. Next game is on Wednesday Night for the USMNT vs. Panama, who are also 2-0 in Group D, both moving on to the knockout rounds.
America Cup, Brazil is already on to the knock out round, Chile and Columbia are in with 2-0 and a game to go, but Messi can't carry Argentina on his own.. probably going to miss out, currently in 4th place in their group.

Really good game right now, Chile vs Uruguay, historically bad blood between these teams. At the legendary Maracana, Brazil!!
Andres Cantor is a busy man, calling USA-ESP and now CHI-URU. Imagine if soccer announcers have to actually be at games. I don't know if the amercian broadcasters are required to be at the games, other than the field reports.
Looks like Uruguay's going to eke this one out.
I just saw the score... it says Peru won after penalties, with Suarez the only one that missed his spot kick
El Tri, vs. Los Ticos. Looks pretty even, and wide open so far at 26'
Going to extra time after tying 1-1. No VAR here, but Costa Rica may have gotten a break on a penalty called just at the edge of the box, but it looked like he was fouled out of the box.
Mexico wins. Memo stopped the 6th attempt. 5-4

Jamaica 1 - Panama 0 in a quarterfinal. It was on a penalty on a handball in the box when players were up in the air for a header... no VAR, was kind of weak.
Jamaica plays winner of USA Curacao.
US ahead of Curacao 1-0 at 54:00.
Kind of a boring game, and was kind of underwhelming. The pass from Pulisic to McKennie was exquisite for the score.
Next up is Jamaica. USMNT have to pick it up.
It was boring. USMNT showed little intensity. Definitely...they'll need to step it up for Jamaica on Wed, 9:00 PM ET.

Argentina v. Brazil in the Copa America Semi-final tonight. I don't think this one is easy to find in English, but will be on Telemundo, starting 20:30 Eastern.
Mexico v. Haiti follows in the Gold Cup, 22:00 Eastern, Televisa.
Brazil moves on, 2-0 over Argentina. Brazil looked like they wanted it more, and Messi couldn't make it work with all the bodies around him.
MEX-HAI tied at zero at the half, but Mexico had numerous chances in the Haitian box.
Still tied 0-0, and now into extra time. Penalty now against Haiti at 92'... score. Still 27 minutes of extra time.
Mexico moves on 1-0. They can barely find the net.
USMNT vs Jamaica tonight at 8:30 PM ET. The winner of that match faces Mexico in the final match of tournament this Sunday.
I'm looking forward to the game tonight. I hope the USMNT can follow in the footsteps of the USWNT!
USMNT up 1-0 before a lightning delay. It could have been 3-0.
Peru whips Chile 3-0 to meet Brazil in the Copa America final. Chile had a penalty kick in the 2nd stoppage time, but was stuffed, capping an awful night for them.
USMNT win 3-1 over Reggae Boyz. A better showing tonight, but the lightning delay cooled a hot start. Christian Pulisic gets two off rebounds, and McKennie gets another. The goal against the USA was the first for the tournament.
Sunday night, vs. Mexico for the hardware. Sunday is going to be a busy day.
Man, I fell asleep during the lightning delay. I was up at 4:00 AM yesterday, so it didn't take much for Morpheus to overtake me. Anyway, the USMNT looked incredible at the outset. I'm glad to see that your boy scored 2 goals. I'll try to stay awake for the Sunday night (US v Mexico) match.
In the third place match between Argentina and Chile... the team captains, Messi and Medel got into a chest bumping contest and straight Red Carded off, lol. Medel got mad as Messi was going after the ball on the Chile end line, and Medel took a little swing and looked like he tried to head butt Messi, but Messi just chest bumped him back. This game is very chippy, with Argentina up 2-0 going into the half... but not much to see now that Messi is gone. I lost count on how many yellows were thrown out there.
Everton, who doesn't play for Everton, opens the scoring for Brazil.
Even at 1-1, at 44'. Peru's Paolo Guerrero with a penalty spot gol..
Brazil returns the favor at 45+3', by Jesus. 2-1
Jesus just red carded on his second yellow. Brazil will play with 10 for the next 20 min, or more, if Peru ties it.
Congrats to Brazil for winning the 2019 Copa America, 3-1 over Peru. Argentina won yesterday for 3rd place (but Messi boycotted the medal ceremony)
Next year, the Copa America will start being held on the even years between the World Cup, so Messi still has a chance to get an elusive International major tournament.

Well, USMNT had chances, but couldn't make it happen. Mexico got its act together in the 2nd half and scored, and controlled the ball for the most part... Pulisic couldn't get free. 1-0.
