simple... you get one throw-away pick, so if one of your guys wrecks, you still have a chance for the high score, and overall championship. Now if you have two DNFs, well, you may need to hope others are in that same situation. You could use the throw-away pick as a kind of wild card... pick someone that you wouldn't normally pick.

Scheduled Green Flag is 2:16p Eastern. This is the first race using smaller spacers, but won't be using the modified aero package for more downforce. Next week at Vegas, they will be using the smaller spacers, and modified aero package for the faster tracks.

Kurt Busch had a interesting restart, almost got to the front, but Harvick was able to pull away after Kurt got loose. 4 Wide!

dara

Larson is strong in this race. Harvick had a problem going over a bump, and Kyle just zoomed by him. Smaller spacers are not forgiving if you come off the pedal for anything.

Looks like this will be between Larson and Harvick, if there aren't any big problems for either, or a questionable forced restart a couple laps before the finish, lol (that's what those guys in the back are for, crashing out just before the end.).

Kyle Busch kisses the wall, and cuts his right rear wall, giving our first 'real' caution.

dara
02-24-2019, 09:45 PM
oops, Kyle Larson is too fast in the pits, and has to drop to the back of the lead lap, from the front.

dara
02-24-2019, 10:46 PM
7 to go, and Bad Brad and Logano benefitted by pitting before the crash on pit road. Logano had tire probs, though. Truex down by 1 sec.
