video channel exiting me back to m3u playlist or going to next link video channel.

When I load m3u video play list and play the video link.

When there is no video or signal on that channel it keeps exiting me to next channel on the play list and play or exit me to play list itself and stop there.


How can I stay on a particular link video display channel on my t.v. screen without this happening on my Mag 254 ? Is there anyway to lock it to a particular channel so it won't exit me to playlist or changing to the next channel video link ?

is there a buffer rate setting on the mag model ?
If so, set that higher, might help.

What that setting does is pre- load so many seconds of content before the channel comes back. If set to 10 for instance, then it loads or tries to load 10 seconds of content and then channel kicks in. Setting to 1 loads one second. If only loading 1 second and the channel is still froze after that 1 second, then it will go to another channel or get kicked out like you are experiencing.
This is happening because the channel is freezing or down.
Could be an ISP issue or a server issue.
Channels seem fine here thou, even when others report freezing :eek:

try the buffer setting higher
