My Z7+ froze while watching and did not respond to the remote in any way. I pulled the power in order to reboot. The light on the front momentarily went green and quickly turned red and faded down. I tried the recovery file as per instructions without success. I tried using the power supply from my mag 254 with the same results. Does anyone have anything else I can try? Or is it time to replace the box. It 's only about 6 months old.
Thanks,
hapy

The Mag 254 power supply may not be able to supply enough current for the Z7+.

same voltage
plus it's obviously not a power issue

Power is one thing but current is something else. They always say the current it can supply.

dishuser,
Thanks for your input. Why do you think it's not a power issue?

I thought it comes with 1 year warranty? since its just 6 months old I would contact manufacture or place you bought from and talk to them and see what they say about repair/replacement...ect :)

I ordered the box from the distributor in the sticky on this forum. I contacted them through their website last weekend. I have not heard from them yet. I'll have to get on them again after my out of town company leaves today. I'll report back on the forum as to whether they respond or not.

I found my answer to my problem on another site specific to the Formuler boxes:

Check the steps below to resolve "No Signal" or "Invalid Signal" displayed on your TV:

Check the HDMI cable connection at the device and TV
Select the correct Input on the TV

Check the supported resolutions on your TV.

Your Formuler device might be set to an incompatible HDMI output mode.

Turn ON the TV
Pull the power from your Formuler device.
Plug power back into the Formuler device.
Wait at least 2 minutes for the box to boot up.
Press the Resolution button on your Formuler remote
Wait 5 seconds.
Does the picture appear on the TV screen?
If not, Press the Resolution button twice
Wait 5 seconds
Does the picture appear on the TV screen?
If not, Press the Resolution button THREE times
Repeat as neccessary.

I was getting a "no signal" displayed on my tv. The key was waiting at least 2 minutes after plugging the power back to the Z7+. It comes back in an original factory condition.

I never did hear back from the site in the sticky on this forum where I purchased the unit. I would not recommend them if you have any concern with after purchase support.
