It has a configurable WiFi hotspot setup that you can turn on/off and connect WiFi devices through the AVOV box using a password. You only really need it if you don't have a wireless setup already running at your location, your box would be connected through the Ethernet.

OK .. I just tried to setup mine a VIXO1 and it was a bit tricky entering a new password. What I did was go past the password box and clicked on the Show password then went back to password box and was able to see what was already there. I was then able to delete it using the popup keyboards <x] key and enter a new one.

I connect my cell phone to the internet thru the box after to test.

Initially couldn't figure out how to scroll to the end of the *** characters in the password box to delete them? Entering a new password appeared to just add it to the beginning of the existing one. What I forgot was in order to scroll thru text boxes in a popup using the remote, you have to back out of the on screen keyboard first. You then navigate to where you need to be and hit OK on the remote to bring back the keyboard for editing/typing in.

Well that was weird. Tried turning back on again and using my cell to connect but was just stuck on trying to connect.
I rebooted using the remote after checking my settings. After reboot I had to go and turn hotspot back on. Worked fine.
Connected to Internet thru Ethernet cable.
Checked my settings:-
Network SSID = TVRouter
Security = WPA2 PSK
Password = (at least 8 characters)
I clicked on show password so I actually saw it was what I thought it was.
