MAG 256 speed test

Hello,
I have a MAG256 purchased 5 months ago and am using the embedded internet speed test application on this device. I am running the test using an Ethernet cable.
The result coming out of the test is fluctuating a lot, when I use the device and varies from 1.5 mbs to 11 mbps.
When I do the speed test via a laptop, I get a more consistent result of around 10.5 to 11 mbps.
My internet subscription is for 10 mbps.
Any idea anyone what the reason for the difference might be?

Don't worry about it. I get the same thing on my MAG and I have 65mbps down. I've never understood why it's even on the box haha. Even if your connection is saturated, it will still say the same thing. xD

I have the same problem, however i have 200/100 mgs on my Internet connection and on my Mag no more then 50 mgs, and sometimes a message on the top "conection problem".

The embedded internet speed test has a problem.........these speed test can't be relied on...........
I can check different speed tests online with my desktop (hardwired) and get very different results .....I wouldn't worry about it........................
