It would be nice to have a moving banner with new announcements on top of the home page.

might help seeing how many posts asking the same question or threads started stating the same thing, problem is some members only log on to site when things stop working and do not bother to read and expect answers without looking when the question asked has been answered over and over

Last time I saw this questions asked a moderator, if I remember correctly, jumped right down his throat and said it would never happen. It would be a great addition like it used to be in Nfusion days.
