Recording issues with mag256

Hi.
Firstly, loving iptv. Great move.
Now, I have purchased a 1tb external hard drive and formatted it to fat32, but I cannot record, I can set up a recording on the TV guide but nothing records.
On the main portal screen the recording manager has no PATH and no option to fill it. I am at a loss. Please help.
By the way, I am on rapid iptv if it helps.

Are you on the latest firmware?? There is no recording through the stalker portal, but I think you uss an .m3u file, correct? Which means you added the channels to the inner portal IPTV area I think. Maybe you should try with a simple USB drive (possibly better compatibility), try FAT32, NTFS, EXFAT. I am not sure how to set the drive up. There were a few time shift options in the inner portal settings, I don't know if they would affect this but might be an idea to check out. If you put a random file like "test.m3u" on your hard drive, can you see/open that file on the MAG?
