UPDATE APR 29
No need to update manually anymore, it will now update itself after a factory reset.

Copy/Paste

TVonline:

Step 1: Check which is your build number by going to: “settings > system info > build number”

Step 2: If you have build 1.0.07: Download the second file below
If you have build 1.0.08: Download the first file below
**Rembmer: do not extract any of the “update.zip” file, just copy it over

Step 3: Place the correct build update.zip file on a USB/Jump drive (do not extract or change file name)

Step 4: Plug in the USB/Jump drive to the back of the device and power up your device

Step 5: A Firmware update message will pop up and click “install”

Step 6: Your device will restart and all the firmware update will be applied. After it’s done you should make sure you have build 1.0.11 from “settings > system info > build number”. Now you should be able to access MickyHop channel store once again.

Please follow these 6 steps to complete the software update for your VIXO 1 or TVonline device. Make sure you download the correct update.zip file for your build. If you require more assistance please open a ticket at our help desk.

download the zipped file to desktop, insert zip drive in puter, move file just as it is in zipped format to zip drive and follow BIO's instructions...the file works fine..been verified..

I have tried with both files, copied them to a usb unplug the box and restart does not get any message to upgrade firmware

stop roll and listen read up what you have first a avov1 box or a avov tvonline box not the same

only put the file for your build # on the drive, follow the directions exactly, there is no need to reboot until whole process is finished

thats ez put usb in computer think right click will ask to format say yes to fat32 only thing make sure your on the usb and not your c drive

I did my update today and it shows 1.0.9 and have no sounds on any channels. I have to turn the volume to max on my TV to here just a little sound.

I formated the usb to fat32 but nothing. This is what I did copy the file to my usb, instert usb in my tvonline turn of the power than when I power it on I get the avov sign and it goes directly to main screen. Does not show any message to upgrade software.

This what I understand from this instruction is if you have software 1.0.07 which I have copy the second below on a usb stick insert it in stb turn on power and it will give you a mssg to upgrade. If i understood it wrong pls explain it to me thnks

i'm trying the update..following the instructions to update TVOnLine build 1.0.07. I've tried 2 different USBs, still not working for me. It is not reading the zip file when I turn on the box. Not sure what else to try..any guesses?

I had the same trouble then I found my windows. Download the file to the name( attachment) I rename it to(update) an it work like a charm

in media info it does show what is on the flash drive,but will not load??I think I need to send these 2 avov back they don,t work at all, will not connect to any server.

Just read this at the mickyhop site


No need to manually do the firmware update on the TVonline & VIXO 1 anymore. The team has figured out a way to do it over the internet. Just connect your device, do a factory data reset and everything should be working again.

1.51 is the version for TV Online app

for avov vixo1 and avov Online models running system version, look at BIO's threads

Never did the updatae here (Vixo1) , but what about reboot, that should work, no ?

yeah. did that. same result
may leave it unplugged for a few hours. Sometimes that helps. Ill report back later
I always have an issue with stuff, it'll work itself out. Always does.:)

only way to fix that is unplug. Then when reconnect , you should hear that bing noice that the avov does when scrolling functions.
Or maybe it's the hdmi cable? I do not recomend disconnecting a hdmi cable while receiver is powered up, but try it :)


If that don't work then clap your hands together 5 times and rub your tummy :)

I did have this happen to me and it was the power reconnect that worked. I thought it was channel changing, but it was the reboot

I done all that. After I'm done watching it tonight, I'll leave it unplugged and see if that does it. No big deal, I know I'll resolve the problem one way or another.

BY the way, this vixo1 here gets reboot daily, almost 3 times daily. It's got a bad power cable connection and even a bump on the TV stand makes it disconnected.
It's even disconnected a few times while rebooting..

Never had any adverse affects to date.

bought 4 or 5 black Vixo1 models . But my original still is the bigger white one. Don't have a OnLine model either, I did for awhile ago.
This Vixo1 is been great, 'cept that damn power cable connection.
I know...... use tape :)

I only fix things when I get paid for it :)

Update:
After having the volume issue after the mandatory update and leaving it unplugged all night, it still wasn't fixed.
But...a new OTA Update popped up and I installed that. Box Rebooted. All is well now.
Go figure.
I'm happy once again with my Avov TVOnline.(Best Box)...:)

click the + and you can add icefilms or whatever to the home screen like xbmc.
after you've downloaded them from mickymarket
can load apps from the main screen

just noticed a little problem with time zone,when ussing my time zone which was listed ,I get the wrong time,as if they where using day light saving time but my zone doesnt change,so have to go to one with 1 hour difference,to get the right time.but other wise from yesterday hick up ,love the machine quick and nice layout ,quick remote and very intuitive layout.this machine is a great addition to tv lovers in general offering some extras like movies,from stalker I love this little machine now sits on living room,and mag is in bedroom.

I need help plz... I factory reset my avov tv online + box and downloaded and tried both update.zip files and it comes up saying "NOT A VALID UPDATE PACKAGE!" I currently have the firmware 1.0.8 and i am attempting this update due to the fact that I cant get thru the "credentials" part of the activation of the iptv service. I purchased the year package from iks66,registered my mac,recieved my route # and in the username\pass section it wont allow the number to go thru. Please help!

That is an old file for the TVOnline avov box.
Is that the box that you have ?
It will not work on the Vixo models or the Fuse models, they have different file versions.

I do not even know how it is working on the TVOnline boxes, because it is an old file, but I do have it and will post as a mediafire link.
Give me a few minutes....

Okay guys here are the files. I have included all I had, including for the Vixo1 as well.
Use at own risk !

These release notes and these files are from the year 2015, so they are not release notes meant for today... But here you have it :)

VIXO 1

Step 1 Check which is your build number by going to “settings system info build number”
Step 2 first ensure which build is on your receiver now and use the corresponding file.
Rembmer do not extract any of the “update.zip” file, just copy it over
Step 3 Place the correct build update.zip file on a USBSD CardJump drive (do not unzip or change file name)
Step 4 Plug in the USBJump drive to the back of the device and power up your device. Click “local media” and a update message should come up.
Step 5 A Firmware update message will pop up and click “install”. If not browse the directory to find the “update.zip” file.
Step 6 Your device will restart and all the firmware update will be applied. After it’s done you should make sure you have build 1.0.11 from “settings system info build number”. Now you should be able to access MickyHop channel store once again. You can remove the jump drive when it prompts you to delete the file.


TVONLINE

Step 1 Check which is your build number by going to “settings system info build number”
Step 2 first ensure which build is on your receiver now and use the corresponding file.
Step 3 Place the correct build update.zip file on a USBJump drive (do not extract or change file name)
Step 4 Plug in the USBJump drive to the back of the device and power up your device
Step 5 A Firmware update message will pop up and click “install”
Step 6 Your device will restart and all the firmware update will be applied. After it’s done you should make sure you have build 1.0.11 from “settings system info build number”. Now you should be able to access MickyHop channel store once again.



1) To do this find an empty USB key and install the file I have attached called "update" on to it.
Notes: Do not unzip it, keep it as a zip file. Also make sure it is in the main directory of the USB (do not put it into another folder). Just in case, don't keep other files in there that you think might effect the installation.

2) Perform a factory reset and while in the first time setup menu plug in the USB (this is where the four main setting icons are). It should prompt you to do a firmware update in which you will say yes.

3) After this is done, your box will reboot again. After this you should have access to the channel store. If it still does not work you have a different issue with your box. Please do not try this for non TVOnline boxes. I advise you start a thread or open a support ticket with our website to get that issue fixed.

Those files were only good for the Original TvOnline box .....They are not for the TvOnline Plus or The TvOnline v2

i factory reset it and now nothing work mikckyhup and live tv doesnt work and there is no server setting tab in the setting menu

"Hi, My Name.
Thank you for using our product.
Your model V2 was 3 years ago manufacture product.
The Android version was 4.0.
Now we use the 7.0 version of Android.
Kodi 17.6 services only work with Android version 5.1 and above.
Android box is like a smartphone.
Technology is changing too quickly.
Previous chipset does not allow upgrades.
This is not the issue of boxes, it's the chipset problem.
Existing boxes can only use different functions than using a server to watch live TV.
I'm sorry I couldn't help you."

Yes....but they didn't say anything about live tv for those older boxes....forget about the apps like kodi........some people want just the tv.online app to work
