Reverting back to Kodi 16.1 from Kodi 17 on Firestick

I admit, I'm a novice in this world. Only been in it for a little over a year now, but slowing but surely getting rather good. Anyway, anyone have a quick solution on how to go back to 16.1 on Firestick? I'm installing Kodi on Firestick and it automatically goes to 17. I'm using Appstarter to install Kodi. I have used ADB, but kind of confused on how or if I can go back to old version of 16.1. It's just a preference. I've been strolling thru the forums, but coming up short.

you`ll have to dump 17, then use es file explore and a browser, go to kodi download site to get 16.1

yup can load anyone you want
