Hello guys,

My client runs high-end application, they used to have cisco routers, but recently one of them got burned so they asked me for temporary cheap solution, I decided to use consumer quality Asus RT-AC87U. They use hxxp://questtel.com/item.php?id=1&product=21 HDMI modulator with QAM rf and IPTV(RTP/UDP unicast+multicast) outputs, so I set it up and tried to get a signal - works with udp only. They need both RTP and UDP protocols to be available - what should I do?

Best Regards, John!

I would switch the Asus firmware and use Asus-Merlin firmware as I found it provides regular updates and the firmware is stable and more reliable than some of the Asus firmware. I don't know if it will provide you with a fix for your problem but it sure won't add to any problems you might be having. Merlin has their own website and list of Asus models with a firmware list for each model very similar to DD-WRT and the other third party firmware.
