I want to switch to another ISP because the one i'm with doesn't have unlimited data, but the process to change to the other would cost me DSL 25/Unlimited $54.99/month + $75 activation fee - $20 if you purchase the modem + Modem $130 + $10 Shipping = $249.99 + $12.50 GST + PST $17.50 = $279.99 Total. This is for Teksavvy.

Seems like it's almost $300 just to switch, what do you guys think?. Is this company nuts or what?.

Depends what are your other options? how much other plans with data cost with current provider? Will it save you in the long run paying more now? there are companies that will give you deals if you tell them that you might leave? is there a contract requirement? can you save money by "bulking" such as phone, TV and Internet (even home security with some)

I have Teksavvy 10m D/L $30 a month used my own modem 300g limit think after midnight till dawn does not add in, Tek has a good rep also many competitors want you as a customer so shopping around may get you better deal.

Current provider unlimited data is an extra $30 a month, way to expensive. Teksavvy offers the best unlimited monthly deal but startup fee's are very expensive. I think these guys are nuts to charge so much to start up. I can't find any other unlimited internet on the west coast.

I have rogers unlimited fibre hi speed which is download up to 100 mb/sec for 89.99 a month but to get all channel packages not as much as rogers has from iptv.. I rather pay for the internet and not pay for cable anymore. I think rogers has been loving the streaming industry more then being a cable tv provider.

If you have Telus optik in your area, I suggest getting the 100mbit plan... includes 500Gigs of data.. more than enough here for a family of 5 with 3 streaming devices, 3 computers and all our tablets.. average 4-450/month of usage.
