Hi everyone I'm new to the forums however this is my second android box so I have a basic knowledge.

I purchased a pre-loaded m8s+ box to save me hassle. I went to plug it in to my sony TV (kdl - 32s3000) and no hdmi output could be found. I thought this was odd so I've tried all 3 hdmi ports and used the hdmis from my ps4 and sky box (both of these work fine on a daily basis and still do) in all of these ports and it still doesn't work. So I tried the smaller Panasonic upstairs and it worked fine. Also took it to my parents and it worked fine straight away. I just can't understand what the problem could be with my tele.

I did some research and some people mention resetting the box but there isn't s reset button on it and I am also abit hesitant encase it removes all my pre-loaded apps etc.

Any ideas or solutions would be appreciated,

Adam

I didn't have one to try over the weekend, I'll try and get on at work today to try, however it would be a shame not to get HD if it does work. But I suppose it would be better than not being able to use it in my main TV

You are limited the available video imputs on your TV are best and component (3 video-2 audio) very close you would be hard to see the , next is the S-video have found it hard to get and keep a connection, lower down in quality is the Y-RCA composite cables.

The way to reset your box is use a toothpick and insert it into the AV port. Hold it for 10 seconds and unplug box while still holding the reset button. Wait 10 more seconds and plug back up and hold additional 10 seconds. This should put it into the reset mode. You said it would work on other TV? If so check to see what the output is. It may be too high for the TV you are trying to use.

Many older HD TV's cannot adjust to many PAL/NTSC Signal Formats.
I have experienced this problem on other devices.
Some STB's are for world markets, and therefore can be set to PAL or NTSC Mode, as well as differing Scan Frequency's(50hz/60hz), and resolutions (SD/720/1080i)etc.
If you can set your STB to 60hz - 720(NTSC) if in the Americas, you should be back in business.
Sometimes the stored settings get glitched from power outages or updates.
