For the fast and brittle... LOL.

Nice way to start the Triple Crown of Motor Racing for the F1 Grand Prix de Monaco. Louis Hamilton gets his groove back after a gross mistake by Ricciardo's Red Bull pit team and managed to squeeze out the most of his ultrasoft tires. Rain made it an interesting start (boring) behind the Safety Car for 7 laps. Rosberg had a bad car day with poor brakes, and held up the field until told to let Hamilton to go by... I bet he hated that after the last race when Hamilton took him and himself out of a win.

I hate that Hamilton is friends with Bieber!

She was in the back seat of that tandem racer in front of the actual Pace Car. Race is already in Lap 55, one caution.

Ahh... it's the car that Mario Andretti drives ... Keith Urban was supposed to ride, but Gaga got it because Keith had a back injury. Italians must love it!

F1 is a dangerous sport, and maybe he's tired of his "teammate".

Race 1 of the greatest day in racing - Monaco

Ferrari sweeps the the top 2 spots, and wins for the first time since 2001, while Mercedes is shut out of the podium.

Sebastian Vettle wins after starting 2nd by some great clean air gains after his teammate Kimi Raikkonen pitted first for the required tire change. 3rd goes to Daniel Ricciardo.

Louis Hamilton finishes 7th after starting 13th, due to a bad qualification run. Not bad but he wasn't happy about it for sure. One concerning crash just before the tunnel had Pascal Wehrlein on his side after getting bumped by Jensen Button, but he walked away.

-Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes breaks lap record in Q2 and take the pole.
-Lewis matches his hero Ayrton Senna's 65 career poles.
-Lewis has won the last two Canadian Grand Prix' from pole position.
-Lance Stroll fails to make Q2 in his home race.

After being beaten by Ferrari in Q1 practice this morning, Mercedes found something extra for the afternoon showdown, with Hamilton’s team mate Valtteri Bottas taking third as well.

Lewis Hamilton will start the Formula 1 Grand Prix du Canada 2017 from the front of the grid after topping Saturday’s qualifying in Montreal. The Mercedes driver’s 65th pole position puts him level with Ayrton Senna in the F1 history books.
Only Michael Schumacher has more, with 68

Niki Lauda (team owner) on Lewis' superb lap: "We did not expect that he could go that quick. 1:11.7 was a big surprise"

The Senna family have given Lewis Hamilton a 'race worn' helmet for matching the record.

Congrats to Lewis Hamilton on his sixth win in the Canada GP. Vettle came back hard while those Force India teammates were fighting between themselves, minimizing his points deficit. It looks like Mercedes fixed their issues from Monaco.

Ricciardo drinking from his shoe then Captain Picard drinking from his other one. LOL.

Most of the "teammates" in F1 aren't all that friendly with each other.

Lewis Hamilton wins his fourth F1 Season Championship.
He surpassed the three won by his idol, Brazilian Aryton Senna, who is still considered one of the most elegant and skillful drivers in F1 history.
The 32-year-old joined Vettel and Alain Prost as four-time winners. He now trails only Argentina's Juan Manuel Fangio (five) and Germany's Michael Schumacher (seven) for the most of all time.

MEXICO CITY (AP) — Lewis Hamilton won his fourth career Formula One season championship on Sunday with a ninth-place finish at the Mexican Grand Prix in a race won by Red Bull's Max Verstappen. Hamilton had to overcome first-lap chaos when his Mercedes was bumped by title rival Sebastian Vettel of Ferrari. Hamilton got a tire puncture and Vettel had wing damage. Both had to stop immediately for repairs.

(1 of 6) Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton, of Britain, steers his car during the Formula One Mexico Grand Prix auto race at the Hermanos Rodriguez racetrack in Mexico City, Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017.
October 29, 2017

That left them in a furious bid to catch up as Verstappen sped away to victory. Vettel finished fourth but had to win or finish second to push the title chase to the last two races in Brazil and Abu Dhabi.

Hamilton's championship makes him the most decorated British driver in F1 history, passing Sir Jackie Stewart. He is one of only five drivers in F1 history with four or more. Hamilton held his helmet in his hands as he crossed the finish line, then took a lap around the track while waving the British Union Jack.

Vettel didn't make any of it easy, in more ways than one. A wild start saw Verstappen bump the Ferrari while fighting through the first turn at the end of the track's long straight. Verstappen got the edge and got out when Hamilton made a move to get past Vettel, who drifted left. The Ferrari's left front wing clipped Hamilton's right rear tire, damaging both cars and forcing their drivers to pit for repairs.

As Verstappen pulled away, a seething Hamilton asked his team over the radio if Vettel made contact "on purpose." "Not sure, Lewis," the team replied. Race stewards determined no investigation was necessary.

Both drivers made a mad scramble to get back toward the front, weaving through the traffic that bottles up a short track at the Autodromo Hermanas Rodriguez, and Hamilton was struggling to make up any ground. On lap 23, he was so slow that he was shown a blue flag, the order to let a faster car — Verstappen — go past him.

Vettel was on a furious pace to push the championship to the next race. He never got close. Late in the race, he asked his team if he could get second but when told how far behind he was, Vettel replied, "Oh mama mia, that's too much."

The finish allowed Hamilton to celebrate championships in four cities, with Mexica City joining Sao Paolo, Brazil, in 2008, Abu Dhabi in 2014 and Austin, Texas, in 2015. "Viva Mexico!" Hamilton told the crowd when he got out of his car.

Hamilton's championship will spur questions about his place among the best drivers in F1 history. The 32-year-old joined Vettel and Alain Prost as four-time winners. He now trails only Argentina's Juan Manuel Fangio (five) and Germany's Michael Schumacher (seven) for the most of all time.

He surpassed the three won by his idol, Brazilian Aryton Senna, who is still considered one of the most elegant and skillful drivers in F1 history. Hamilton's Mercedes car has dominated the era of turbo-hybrid engines adopted in 2014. Of Hamilton's 62 career victories, 30 have come over the last four years, a span of 77 races.

He chased down this championship over the second half of the season after Vettel won two of the first three races. Ferrari faltered as Hamilton had racked up five wins over the past seven races and his car has been as steady as his driving. Hamilton has finished every race and missed the podium just five times.

I haven't been following so closely this season, but there still are two races to go, so his lead must be insurmountable.

In case anyone else cares...

Monaco is in progress, and Ricciardo is just dominant. Unless he messes up, he's won this, early, but Vettle is creeping up. It won't be Hamilton's day.

Daniel Ricciardo wins from the pole, followed by Sebastian Vettel, then Lewis Hamilton. It looks like Ferrari had the edge over Mercedes in this race, but Red Bull did well.

Only one crash.

Canadian Grand Prix was very eventful today !
From cars getting together and both wrecking, to a false checker flag, with one lap to go and some other eventful goings ons.

Did not matter to pole sitter Vettel thou

"Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel dominated the Canadian Grand Prix to retake the championship lead as Lewis Hamilton could finish only fifth for Mercedes"

Hamilton retakes the lead from Sebastian Vettel once again in the championship standings.
Lewis Hamilton coming from 14th to win the 2018 Germany Grand Prix in Hockenheim, Germany.

It was a rain filled morning, and was coming down especialy hard near the last laps of the race.
Vetta was in first up to about lap 50 when he went into the barriers and was out of the race.
