New ott tv box mxq

Hello all I've just purchased this new box but have a bit of a problem I have a LG42" 1080p tv 8years old PS3 works a treat on it but as soon as I plug my new TV box into the hgmi slot mys PS3 was in the TV won't work and the remote stops working I've no idea why this is as it works on my landlords tv does any1 have any idea how to solve this many thanks.

If you can get it to work on another TV change the BOX resolution to 720p then retry on your tv there maybe something going on with the output at 1080p

Maybe there is a device that is interfering with the ir of the remote remove all devices away from your mxq and try it
