Recording shows?

Is there a way to use a TV tuner to record shows off stalked pvr client or use this against the rules

they are working on that to record but there are ways around it

I was just wondering if I bought a hdhomerun if I could record using Argus TV software or if it would be better to wait till they figure out the recording software
