MAC tied to two donations

I am having a problem were same MAC is tied to two donations. Both donations had previously a unique MAC, but today I noticed that the MAC of one of the donations has been assigned to both donations. I tried to change one donation to again have a unique MAC, but after I save the new MAC would be assigned again to both donations.

Has anyone experienced this and how to resolve?

Sorry, the mods have no way to fix this but we know this is a problem. Hopefully the server guys know about this issue.
