Got my viox2 today and am trying to set it up. I've tried both wifi and ethernet and with both I can get to the avov home page from the settings, but I cannot get into the channel store, when I try it just seems to clock and clock, the screen goes grayish like it's waiting to connect but never gets there. What am I missing?

try to reboot your box or do a factory data reset

try and do a update

Can't do an update, returns message of "The current version is the latest!"

System info shows build number 1.0.7

At this point I'm stumped, any other ideas as far as things to try?

look do a reset with hardwire and reboot router first then turn on avov2 you should get a big box that loads about 6 plugin after that you should get the channel store

there is a problem with software rev. 1.0.7, you aren't the only one. i recently purchased two of these units, both have the exact same problem, cannot connect to channel store, cannot access weather, and clicking on airplay/dlna does absolutely nothing. contacted avov they said to RMA, but i don't think that will solve the problem, we will need a software update or somehow roll back to 1.0.6

yes Build 1.0.7 has a lot of issues
and yes if you RMA they will fix it before they send it back to you or they may just push you a update
Avov is a very reputable company their service is second to none

So I got my response from avov, and the wanted my to do the hard reset:

You will need to perform a manual factory reset. I will out line some instructions for you and I want you to follow them word for word.

1) Make sure the box is connected to the TV by HDMI
2) Make sure the power is plugged out of the box
3) Push and hold the restore button with a pin for 10 seconds (found at the back of the device)
4) Continue to hold it down and plug the power into the box
5) Hold the restore button for at least another 5 seconds and then let go
6) Proceed to wait for a bit while the box resets, it should open up again in console mode
7) Select the factory data reset option and then click the yes option
8) The box will perform a factory data reset and reboot
9) It should then boot normally and start working. If it boots into the console mode again, make sure to select the first option for a normal boot up

I did this the other day and it didn't work, but thought why not try again and it worked! So I'm on line now and exploring what this little box can do. Love it so far!

Just wanted to update and thank everyone for all the help.

I can already tell this forum is a great community with awesome members and I'm glad I joined!

The hard reset from back is a typical procedure when all else fails. In this case it wasn't a problem with the vixo2, it was on their end. Glad we're all up and running!
