I'm not sure if this is the forum to post this situation. If not, sorry and feel free to delete or place it somewhere else.
I am a Kodi user, a recent subscriber to IKS iptv service and I donated to get the epg from Ninja. I use the free FTV guide which is what my family is used to and comfortable in manoeuvering. We looked at other choices (PVR client, iVue Guide) and they weren't what we liked.
I have a few issues with the order in which things are provided by the epg service and I am really having a tough time organizing things and not having them change.
Believe it or not, when we first loaded the FTV guide with the Ninja epg data there where some Adult channels listed right beside the Children's Channels. It was horrible and a bit surprising. I did some research and found that I could configure the channel order and even delete unwanted channels by a context menu. All was good until the guide updated epg data 2 days later. Everything was back to normal, much to my horror.
I spoke with a colleague who is familiar with iptv and he explained that the new data overwrites the old data. Not only that, though. It somehow interacts with the FTV guide and puts the channels in the order which the epg data is provided by the Ninja service. He went on my Kodi TV Box and showed me a file called XML . The file listed all of the channels in computer language along with show information. He showed me the order in which the channels were listed. He pointed out that the Adult channel was listed right beside the Children's channel. There was no grouping or logical order to the file.
Is it possible for the people from Ninja to do a reorder of the way that this file is uploaded? I'm sure that I am not alone. I can't imagine that others don't see the same issue. My colleague explained that I could re order things in the file with an editor. However, once again, it woud mean that I needed to do it every 2 or 3 days. I just don't have the time.
Otherwise, I do find the listings very complete and give everything which I need. I hope that someone can provide me with a solution or join with me in requesting the Ninja folks to make some changes. I do thank them for an excellent contribution to our Kodi setup and wish them well, even though I have issues.
Thanks.

There isn't much the Clairvoyance team can do about the order of channels from the server. What you can do as a user is to make sure the settings for the Live TV uses the channel order from the server (the adults aren't next to the children channels), and use the Channel Manager to hide the adult channels. We recommend using the pvr addons vs. the IPTV Stalker, which you are using with FTV Guide.

By the way, the ********** is not intended for use outside of the pvr.stalker addons. I'm not sure how you got it to integrate with FTV guide. Maybe you have some things crossed up.

Thanks for the quick reply. I had my colleague install the software. We used stalker since last July and then I had to make the donation for the epg. I have tried the pvr and can never get it to work. I went to this forum to get information and tried the solutions proposed and never had success. That's why we stayed with FTV. It works.
Sorry if I'm not supposed to use the epg. I did donate and everything runs fine except the order of channels. Thanks for the great work. I guess you are volunteering your time. It means a lot to our family.

Hey, what ever works. If you are able to use the ********** in an EPG addon, great, but you won't get support for that. I know that you can use a custom xmltv file to get the program data, but you probably would have a custom addons.ini as well, but that implies a lot of work as well. You can change the order of channels you see in the FTV guide, by using the context menu for channels, then moving them as you please, or hiding them.

Dara:
Once more, thanks for the input. As you mentioned, there is no support for non prr.stalker issues. However, my colleague showed me the file that is created by Ninja called NFPSE.xml. It is stored on the Kodi setup. He said that if you altered the order of the "scraping" or "grabbing" , it would solve my issues.
First off, delete this post if you feel that I am a nuisance. I am just trying to find a solution to a very senstive issue for our family. Next, is my colleague correct? If so, is it possible to change the order you do things? If he is not correct, then I am a nuisance and please delete this post. I am new here and do not want to offend those who work hard on my behalf.
Thanks

being curious isnt a nuisance ;)
as dara said our EPG is meant to be used with pvr.stalker, nothing else.. you can lock or hide adult channels with kodi's built in pvr system.

1. our EPG is free and we dont take donations, if you made a donation, it wasnt to us.. i am thinking your talking about your donation to the NFPS server itself for access to the service..
2. the order in which we grab data does not affect the channel order... the porn channels are actually grabbed after the mexico channels in our graber.. channel order is set by whatever plugin you are using..
3. if someone is using NFPSE.xml that is current still, its not from us as we no longer create a file with that name.

Thank you for the clear and concise explanation. I will not be a nuisance on this subject anymore. Also, I will try to learn more on my own without using friends who may be steering me wrong.
Again, thanks.

What you can do as a user is to make sure the settings for the Live TV uses the channel order from the server ….

what are the settings to employ for this…right now my channel order does not match the backend.

For instance cnn international on my peg is ch101…but Ive heard it been placed as Ch201 or something.

Make sure your Kodi settings are at Advanced or Expert, and the setting should be there. The numbers should match on PVR Stalker but won't with the PVR simple if integrated with IPTV Stalker.

Found the setting and selected it…it registers, the blue light shows but then after 2 seconds the setting gets deselected on its own. How weird.
