View Full Version : Anyone else's epg way off today?

Not sure if this is the right forum for this post, but anyone else find that their epg is off by an hour oday? Seems like every channel I tune in to is playing something other than what's shown on the schedule.

Depends on the channel. Some channels have been an hour or more off in the guide for some time, and other channels are just fine. I believe the guide is made up of several different guides mashed together each section of which is maintained by different people. It's possible one of the people involved may be missentering info, or their time zone data is off. Not much we can do about it.

Beginning to think that this is an issue with the latest firmware. Problem started shortly after installing the latest update. Been like this well over a week now.

Not sure if related, but I did notice that the box does not display the time correctly at 12pm in the epg. At 12pm, the epg says 12am. (But if you check in the guide where it shows military time, midnight is 0000hrs and noon is 1200hrs as it should be.) Maybe related, maybe a separate big.

Any hope on a fix or response from the fine folks at Avov? Here's hoping!

see i was thinking it server problem on avov or mag not box itself am i wrong on that

If the problem is effecting mag boxes too, then its probably not an avov firmware issue. I wasn't aware that mag boxes were experiencing this issue too.

OK, we're pretty sure that the guide being off is a server issue. I'm still curious about the am pm bug I'm seeing at 12 noon -12:59pm. During that time, my avov's home screen says it's 12: am.

Just wondering if that is happening on the mag as well, or if its avov specific?

My epg has been wrong since November 11th. Maybe earlier.
