How to add portal to mag250/254

How to add/change a portal:

The easiest way is to start from the beginning.

1: turn off your box and then turn it back on.

2: when you get to the "Loading" image, press your "set/setup" button on your remote. This will bring you to the "inner portal".

3: press your "set/setup" button again. The go to "Servers".

4: change "portal URL 1" to the new portal by pressing the "KB" button and typing the address you were given.

5: press the "KB" button again and press ok, then you will be returned to the previous screen.

6: go to "reload portal" and press ok when prompted.

That's is.

When your mag250/254 reboots it should load the portal. Any errors then check your spelling

I can't seem to get in to inner portal can you please help?
I reboot the devise and press on the setup button when the loading image appear but it goes right at the home page,
Do I need to press the button once or press and hold the setup button until it brings me to inner portal?
Any help will be appreciated

seems to be missing that you need to name the portal as well

you can also access your Portals in Settings: go to System Settings, then to Servers, portal 1 & portal 2 are there.

coors that's for only editing then you have to power off the box for the portal to load

To get to the inner portal in the main screen, press settings, and scroll down till you get to it about two or three below the portals line.

Option to name portal will only be there after u have updated firmware. My 254 came with r3 on it,,updated to r10 with auto update and portal mame showed up.

Should have gone to spec savers .

Look again , see the blue key F4 , below it is key set up , below that one find key KB .

It is for keyboard .

How do I reboot it so it will automatically load with Portal 2 URL?
At the moment when I turn on Mag 254 a screen opens and I have to choose between Portal 1 or 2.

How do I backup my data and settings before I do update ?
Will I lose my settings if I update ? Like Favorite channels.

Is there a place to download the firmware to usb and isntall it from usb manually ?

no in setup you can set it to manually update wont lose a thing if you need a update it will do it for you

Hi sorry to hijack the thread can any one tell me what i need to do here i have a blade stream 250 when i turn it on it try to load then after a minute in goes to a black screen pressing the set up button on load up does not do anything not sure if it needs a firmware update box was bought new can anyone please advice me thanks

When I enter the inner portal and go to portals to add a line there are no portals available to use. Can someone tell me how to get the portals back? I am using a mag254.

i m new to IPTV so u just bought a Mag254 box from someone and paid for 1 month subscription so that I can take a look at the settings for subscription so how do I find out that who my service is with so that I don't have to pay big bucks to that guy.And than I can buy the subscription directly from the provider !
where should I get the subscription or donation from ?
which site is realiable?

Hello everybody! I have got a test Stalker Middleware on Ubuntu 14.04 in VirtualBox. I added a user and a test TV channel to it, but Mag 254 could not connect to it.
So Stalker at the moment running in a virtualization environment for test purpose. I added the Ubuntu Server private address to Mag portal URL but this is not worked.
What could be the wrong ?
